Everything just works till it doesn’t

This is why I love arch Linux the most. It motivates me to learn. The more I learn the more stable my system is, the more self reliant I can become.

Gaming with steam/proton and Nvidia 👾 🎮 🕹️

About 6 months ago I deleted my Windows partition and forced myself to use only Linux. Ubuntu was my daily driver for most everything other than gaming this was because I had many issues with getting Nvidia drivers to work good enough for proton to work correctly. That all changed after I gave Arch a try. I have a seen a huge difference in the stability of using arch for gaming over the last few months. This really is a great time to give linux a try.

I’m a programmer so it was going to happen at some point.

As a programmer I’m always trying to update my dependencies in my custom applications I’ve made for clients mostly for security reasons. It seems that has also crossed over in my daily use for my OS too. I love the fact I can update my system to the latest with such a simple command. sudo pacman -Syu Yes sometimes things break but that’s ok because I know how to undo and roll back but most importantly it forces me to understand why it broke in the first place.
